Ridgeway and Vale Diabetes Expeditions is an association of patients
with diabetes which organises annual week-long walking expeditions for groups of 15-20
people with diabetes to encourage them to take regular exercise and to gain further
experience in managing their condition.
Newly-diagnosed patients
can find their confidence restored by the companionship of walkers who have been on our previous walks and expeditions.
The walks also provide valuable experience for medical
staff involved in the treatment of diabetes.
We also organise weekend countryside walks in Buckinghamshire and
Oxfordshire each month to keep ourselves fit.
